Chloe Purpero Johnson is a painter & illustrator based in Charleston, South Carolina where she lives with her husband, Gabriel, son, Judah Camino, and cat, Goldie. Growing up in Europe, Chloe was surrounded by imagination and creativity which inevitably fueled her love for the arts. At age 17, her family moved to America where she later received a bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. Chloe is drawn to simple forms, botanical imagery, late 18th century folk art and children’s books . Her highest goal is to create honest and idiosyncratic works of art with a heart for sustainability and an added touch of whimsy.
